Agilix Labs Named a 2026 AWS Champion for BusyBee

Agilix Labs has been named a 2026 AWS Champion in the EdTech category, recognizing our work with BusyBee, the AI assistant built into Buzz.

‍

The AWS Champions Awards recognize organizations using cloud technology to address challenges in education and the public sector. Curated by the Center for Digital Government and Center for Digital Education, the program highlights projects that put technology to work for the people they serve.

‍

For Agilix, this recognition reflects a practical priority: helping teachers provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.

‍

Helping feedback reach students sooner

‍

Reviewing student work takes care and attention. Teachers need to consider what a student understood, where they need help, and how to guide their next step. In online and self-paced learning, the time between submitting an assignment and receiving that guidance can be especially important.

‍

Built on Amazon Bedrock, BusyBee reads the teacher’s rubric and the student’s work inside Buzz, then generates a draft score and draft comment. A teacher approves, edits, or discards every draft before a student sees it. BusyBee does not post a grade on its own.

‍

That review is central to the approach. BusyBee gives teachers a starting point, while educators bring their knowledge of the student, the lesson, and the learning goals to the final response.

Six million submissions graded with BusyBee

‍

In our September 10 milestone announcement, we shared that teachers had graded six million K–12 student submissions with BusyBee as of September 2, 2026.

‍

At an estimated 90 seconds saved per submission, that represents about 150,000 hours of grading time returned to teachers. These are estimates of time saved, calculated from submission volume.

‍

Those numbers give scale to the everyday work behind this recognition: teachers reviewing student thinking, refining feedback, and helping learners understand what to do next.

Agents of change for students and teachers

The recognition comes as AWS IMAGINE brings education and government leaders together in Chicago. The keynote program calls on participants to be change agents and turn the possibilities of technology into practical impact.

‍

For Agilix, that invitation connects directly to our mission of helping every student succeed. It means building tools that help educators respond to student needs and give learners useful guidance. BusyBee is one way we are putting that commitment into practice.
