Review student conversations.
Teachers and authorized staff can read Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations, and block or hide them.

BusyBee is the AI assistant built into Buzz. It helps students study and practice right beside the lesson, and it drafts feedback and assessment questions for teachers to review.
Teachers start from a draft instead of a blank page, so their time goes to the judgment calls only they can make.
Grading Assistant
BusyBee reads the student's submission, the activity and the teacher's rubric, then drafts a score and written feedback. Buzz marks the draft "has BusyBee suggestions" and holds it. The student sees nothing until the teacher keeps, edits or discards it and returns the work.
Agilix platform data. Submissions as of September 30, 2026; monthly pace and hours returned as of September 10, 2026; approval rate as of March 2026. Hours returned is an estimate of about 90 seconds saved per submission. Read the results
"BusyBee is the springboard and starting point for effective, informed grading."
Question Assistant
Pick an activity or a reading passage as the source. Choose the difficulty, how many questions you want and which types: multiple choice, multiple answer, essay or fill in the blank. BusyBee drafts the questions, answers and feedback. You review them, edit what you like and add the ones you keep to your assessment.
Where BusyBee works
There is nothing to install and no separate AI app for students to find. BusyBee opens from the toolbar of the lesson in Buzz. Your school turns it on for its domain and chooses which tools to use, down to the course and the activity.
Publish Anywhere
Publishers who deliver courses through Publish Anywhere can bring BusyBee along into a partner's LMS.
Study help that opens beside the lesson, in class or at home, when the school turns it on. Students ask questions, practice and review, and teachers can add guided conversations to their courses.

Get Help
Get Help is a tutor that already knows which activity the student has open. When a student asks for the answer, BusyBee hands back a question, then another, so the student does the thinking. Every conversation is saved, and teachers can review it.
Illustrative conversation.
Review Key Concepts
BusyBee turns the key terms and definitions in the activity into a set of flashcards. Students flip each card and move through the set at their own pace. Flashcard review never changes a course grade.
Check My Understanding
BusyBee writes up to 10 practice questions from the activity. Students get feedback on each answer and an explanation of the right one, so a missed idea gets fixed before the graded work. Practice never changes a course grade.
BusyBee Chats
Teachers add BusyBee Chats as course activities: interviews, debates, language practice, writing help or a custom chatbot. They set the topic, the characters and BusyBee's first message, and can review any conversation.
Help My Student
Parents and other observers open BusyBee from the student's activity in Buzz. Help My Student suggests activities and simple ways to explain the topic, tied to the lesson the student is working on.
Oversight and data
Teachers and authorized staff can read Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations, and block or hide them.
Automated monitoring can end a conversation and alert authorized staff when it detects possible self-harm, sexual content or illicit activity. It supports your own safety procedures and may not catch everything.
Turn any BusyBee tool on or off for your domain. Control Grading Assistant by course and study tools by activity.

The AI models behind BusyBee have built-in safety mechanisms designed to reduce harmful or inappropriate responses. Teachers and authorized staff can review, block and hide Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations. Both tools also have automated monitoring: when it detects possible self-harm, sexual content or illicit activity, it can end the chat and notify authorized staff. These alerts support your school's safety procedures; they do not replace them, and they may not catch everything.
Educators stay in control of decisions about students. BusyBee does not make final decisions on its own; Grading Assistant drafts a grade that a teacher reviews, edits and releases. BusyBee runs on models from providers including Anthropic, which publicly documents how its models are evaluated for safety and fairness. It shares only the content one activity needs. Buzz meets WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA.
BusyBee is designed to guide students through the work: it redirects off-task requests, avoids writing for students and asks guiding questions. It can occasionally be wrong. BusyBee does not include AI-detection features.
Yes. Each tool can be turned on or off for your domain. Grading Assistant can also be set by course, and the study tools (Get Help, Check My Understanding, Review Key Concepts and Help My Student) by activity.
Yes. A district can turn off every BusyBee tool at the domain level.
Yes. Teachers and other authorized staff can see Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations.
No. It drafts a grade from the activity and rubric for the teacher to review, edit and release.
BusyBee uses the same secure architecture that protects personal information across Buzz. Names, email addresses and other identifying details are stored only in areas built for sensitive data.
Chats, submissions and course content are not meant for personal information, but it can slip in. Buzz encrypts any text shared with AI services and limits access to authorized teachers and administrators.
Yes, as part of normal learning records, so students can pick up where they left off and staff can review them. Student Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations are kept for 12 months after the last message.
Only what one activity needs: its content, description and learning objectives, plus the messages in that conversation. Grading Assistant also sends the rubric and the student's submission. Check My Understanding, Review Key Concepts, Help My Student and Question Assistant send no student input. Nothing comes from other activities or courses.

What guides BusyBee
AI in Buzz is there to help students understand and practice, and to give teachers time back. Students still do their own thinking and writing, and teachers still make the decisions.
Student data stays with the school. It belongs to the school and its learners. BusyBee shares only the open activity's content and the conversation, and AI interactions in Buzz are not used to train foundation models.
Buzz watches for unsafe conversations. The AI models behind BusyBee have built-in safety mechanisms that reduce harmful responses. Buzz adds monitoring and alerts, and access to a tool can be limited or blocked when it is misused.
AI can be wrong. BusyBee's answers can be incomplete or incorrect, so students should check important answers with their teachers. Every grade BusyBee suggests goes to a teacher before a student sees it. Teachers and administrators can review students' Get Help and BusyBee Chats conversations.
AI should work for every learner. BusyBee runs on models from providers, including Anthropic, that publicly document how their models are evaluated for safety and fairness. Buzz meets WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA.
Local control is essential. Your school decides which tools run and where, and sets its own policy for how students use them.
Responsible AI is shared work. Agilix builds the safeguards and controls and documents how BusyBee works. Schools set local policy, respond to alerts and guide how students and staff use AI.
