Mark Calkins

VICE PRESIDENT, PRODUCT MARKETING

Mr. Mark Calkins joined Agilix Labs in 2004. As vice president of marketing of Agilix, Mr. Calkins is responsible for leading product direction, product management, corporate and marketing communication. He assists in defining product specifications, determining product strategy and identifying target markets. Mr. Calkins is also responsible for corporate positioning and public relations. Mr. Calkins was included in vSpring’s v|100 list for 2005 as one of the top 100 entrepreneur’s in the state of Utah.

Mr. Calkins is a 30-year veteran of high-technology business with 19 years of experience in senior management. He spent his first eleven years in Silicon Valley in various product management roles, with Ungermann-Bass and other firms. He has held leading executive marketing management positions, including vice president of marketing at Novell and WordPerfect. Mr. Calkins ran the second largest division of Novell as vice president and general manager with over 500 employees and achieving $500MM annual sales. While vice president of marketing at Novell, the company revenues went from $25MM to over $1 Billion. He has also been the senior marketing executive at a number of technology start-ups. His areas of expertise are in communications, networking, collaborative systems and application software. Mr. Calkins has twice been named as one of the top 25 executives to watch in the PC industry by Computer Reseller News while at Novell and WordPerfect. Mr. Calkins has a B.A. in communications from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in marketing from Santa Clara University.
