Dave McGinn

Mr. Dave McGinn joined Agilix Labs in 2002. As COO, Mr. McGinn directs the operational strategy of Agilix, a worldwide leader in mobile learning solutions for education markets. Mr. McGinn played key roles in securing the Company’s 2004 $4.35MM investment of strategic capital by Intel Capital, vSpring and Ash Capital, as well as its strategic partnership with Blackboard, Inc., the leading provider of e-Learning enterprise software applications. Mr. McGinn was recently included in vSpring’s v|100 list for 2006 and 2005 as one of the top 100 entrepreneur’s in the state of Utah.
Prior to joining Agilix, Mr. McGinn was Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President of Operations for MyFamily.com. At MyFamily.com, Mr. McGinn assisted in raising more than $75 million in capital from investors such as Intel Capital, Compaq Capital, AOL Investments, CMGI@ventures, Group Arnault, Tango Partners, Amerindo, Pivotal Partners, Kodak Ventures, and others. Mr. McGinn led the building of the internal infrastructure that supported quadrupled growth in annual revenues to over $10 million in one year, becoming a “Top 10” most trafficked web property, and the #3 most successful web-based content subscription business in the world. Prior to MyFamily.com Mr. McGinn was Vice President of Finance for OpenMarket (following its acquisition of Folio Corporation) and Director of Financial Planning for Novell, which generated over $1 billion annually in revenue. Prior to Novell, Mr. McGinn was Controller of SoftSolutions Technology Corporation, a leading document management software company, ultimately selling it to WordPerfect Corporation. Dave began his career as a manager in the technology practice of KPMG.
Mr. McGinn serves as an advisor and board member for other technology companies. Mr. McGinn is a CPA and a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Utah Association of CPAs. Mr. McGinn holds a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University. When Mr. McGinn Dave isn’t growing or advising technology companies, he can be found enjoying his family and fly fishing his favorite high-mountain trout streams.
